Grainline Studio originally began as the personal blog of Jen Beeman, the designer and patternmaker behind the patterns. Jen studied fashion design at Columbia College in Chicago, where she focused on patternmaking and technical design. After graduating, she worked as a patternmaker. In mid-2011, after receiving numerous requests for the patterns of the garments she was creating for herself, she released her first pattern through her blog. Since then, she has released a steady flow of patterns and recently left her job as a patternmaker to focus on Grainline Studio full time. Jen's patterns are modern, fashion-forward designs that will fit seamlessly into your wardrobe. All of the patterns are impeccably drafted with a contemporary fit. They are accompanied by clearly-illustrated instructions that are easy to follow, ensuring a professional finish.
