70s boho was a big trend on the Autumn/Winter 2015 catwalks - and this week's outfit is inspired by dresses in Chloe, Burberry Prorsum and Etro's collections. I was really pleased to see 9124 in Vogue's recent collection of patterns: very on-trend! Of course, it's not as long as many of the boho dresses that featured on the catwalks. However, it would be very easy to lengthen the pattern, if you'd like to have a floor-grazing dress. :-)
Vogue 9124 is a relaxed, loose-fitting pullover dress. It has a fly-button closing down the centre front, an elasticized waist, and side pockets. There are two length options for the sleeves and for the skirt. Finally, Vogue has rated this an 'easy' pattern and there are currently two reviews on PatternReview.com (both of which give the pattern a positive rating).
Based on the inspiration images, I've recommended a few of our voiles and lawns, and our lighter-weight Isobel crepe: you can see my fabric recommendations below. You can also use lightweight jersey with this pattern!
As mentioned earlier, this outfit was inspired by several dresses featured in recent ready-to-wear collections. To see more inspiration images, have a look at our 'Dresses: Dropped-Waist' and 'Dresses: Pleated or Gathered' boards on Pinterest.
