If you're looking for a T-shirt pattern, Grainline Studio's Scout Tee is a great choice! With 65 reviews on PatternReview.com, it is a popular pattern. It is also well-reviewed, with 93% of reviewers giving it a positive rating. As for its features, it's got a nice shape: fitted at the shoulders and then falling loosely from the bust downwards. It's also got a scooped hemline, with the hem being higher in the front than in the back. Finally, you can use both woven fabrics and knits with this pattern: while it was originally designed for woven fabrics, there is a tutorial on Grainline Studio's blog which shows you how to make it using knits. Finally, this is a very easy pattern (perfect for beginners!) and there is a detailed sewalong on Kollabora by SownBrooklyn.
Liesl + Co's City Stroll Wrap Skirt is a stylish, easy-to-sew wrap skirt. Pocket aficionados will be happy to hear that it has pockets! The curved hem is also beautifully finished with a facing. This is a relatively new pattern and there are currently no reviews of it on PatternReview.com. As for difficulty, this is a very easy pattern: Liesl + Co. has given this their lowest difficulty rating.
As mentioned above, Grainline Studio's Scout Tee can be made in both woven fabrics and knits (jerseys). The woven fabrics should be light-to-medium-weight and shouldn't be too stiff: fabrics like lawn, voile, and crepe are recommended.
